Experience
From Engineering to Empathy: A Creative Evolution
I began my journey as an engineering student, but my time on construction sites and my observations of social narratives sparked a realization: my true calling lay in the human story, not just the physical structure. This pivot led me to the world of avant-garde theatre, where I explored gender and social issues through immersive performance.
To deepen my artistic foundation, I pursued Fine Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), focusing on installation and community art. Simultaneously, I spent four years as a Director and Content Producer in Shenzhen. Navigating the fast-paced media industry, I interviewed people from all walks of life and delivered over 70 documentaries and films. This period was my "creative bootcamp," honing my ability to translate complex client needs into compelling visual narratives under high pressure.
Seeking to master the craft of cinema, I moved to the U.S. to study Filmmaking at SCAD. However, my growing passion for the "soul" of the film led me to specialize in Screenwriting at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. Today, I balance the rigorous logic of a Producer — informed by my engineering roots — with the delicate sensitivity of a Writer and Sound Artist. Whether I am managing a set or capturing the subtle textures of sound, I am dedicated to the art of storytelling in all its forms.
Screenwriting & Producing
- Screenwriting: Developing a portfolio of feature-length and short scripts focusing on character-driven narratives and social commentary.
- Producing: Produced over 10 short films, managing budgets, logistics, and cross-departmental coordination with an organized, engineering-inspired workflow.
- Production Sound: Served as a Sound Recordist on professional sets, including vertical short-form series and independent shorts, specializing in high-quality location sound capture.
- On-Set Versatility: Contributing as a Production Designer and occasionally as an Actor, maintaining a holistic understanding of the filmmaking process.

- Directing & Editing: Directed portrait films and micro-shorts, integrating traditional cinematography with emerging technologies.
- Virtual Production: Worked on Unreal Engine LED Volume pipelines, handling 3D asset modeling and lighting for feature film concepts.

- 70+ Credits: Led the end-to-end production of over 70 documentaries, branded films, and institutional campaigns.
- Shenzhen 40 Years — A major archival documentary involving extensive historical research and collaboration with city archives.
